We are currently looking a Talent Acquisition Specialist for one of our opportunities in the Greater Toronto Area.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist reports to the Account Manager, Staffing & Professional Services. Under general supervision, he/she is responsible for contributing to the successful execution and delivery of full cycle recruitment. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is an ambassador of the ADGA Group and will effectively liaise with potential employees, consultants, internal clients and stakeholders while maintaining a special focus on the development of meaningful professional relationships. He/she is responsible for executing the processes and procedures of the Division, and supporting the mission, the vision and the strategy of the Corporation as approved by the CEO. He/she must ensure that he/she works in accordance with the values of the Corporation: integrity, commitment, loyalty, confidentiality, working in an ethical and professional manner, building knowledge and acting in a responsible and equitable manner at all times.

 

Responsibilities:

  • He/she works both independently under general supervision, and as part of a team focused on the delivery of collaborative project initiatives/activities
  • Develops and posts vacancies on the ADGA website, and job boards as appropriate.
  • Sources and assesses candidates for both full time and contract opportunities
  • Screens resumes, interviews applicants, and refers well-qualified candidates to corresponding client managers
  • Follows existing sourcing processes, as well as identifies new tools for finding top talent.
  • Assists with the review of content and accuracy of matrices and liaise with consultants for completion as required
  • Assists with the design and development of sourcing activities
  • Identifies and qualifies active and passive candidates in support of business requirements and identifies new tools and solutions to find talent
  • Actively find and attend industry specific networking events including career fairs, employer panels and hackathons, and ensures appropriate follow-up with candidates post-event
  • Proactively seeks well-qualified candidates and maintain a strong network of passive candidates for future opportunities  
  • Maintains and updates active listing of key talent, key skill sets, and availability of active and potential resources
  • Screen resumes, interview applicants, and submit well-qualified candidates to the Account Manager for each open client opportunity per the KPIs outlined
  • Negotiation of salaries/rates with employees/consultants
  • Develops mutually beneficial relationships with professional organizations, user groups, and other sources of applicant referrals
  • Provides a high level of customer service to both candidates and internal clients/coworkers
  • Performs other duties as directed
  • Supports the maintenance and accurate tracking of candidate interactions in a recruitment database
  • Ensures that the hiring processes are followed, completing paperwork, obtaining copies of certifications, and liaising with internal/external agencies as required
  • Creates, maintains and updates various recruiting and client reports and spreadsheets
  • Assist with other tasks as directed
  • Attends weekly Recruitment/Bid-No Bid meetings and report on recruitment activities
  • Supports new employees on arrival as required
  • Assist or provide guidance to less experienced members of the TAC team

  • Attends monthly divisional review meetings and brings feedback and ideas on how to improve offerings to key clients
  • Supports new employees on arrival as required

 

Requirements (experience/skills/clearance):

  • Minimum of a College Diploma in  a related subject. 
  • 2-4 years of recruiting experience, this position requires an organized individual with strong knowledge of administrative procedures normally acquired through formal education and proven work experience.
  • A combination of education and experience with the proven ability to perform the job tasks may be accepted.
  • RPR (asset)
  • Technical proficiency with MS Office Suite, Intermediate in Excel

 

 Other Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, technical proficiency in the MS Office suite, and strong verbal and written communication skills are a requirement for this position. Ability to plan and coordinate activities for senior managers and multi-task with changing priorities and frequent interruptions.
