We are currently looking for an Technical Advisor (Integrated System Support) for one of our opportunities in the National Capital Region.

 

The Technical Advisor ISS reports to the VP PMO, Service Delivery or his/her designate. He/she works at client sites that are subject to strict security protocols.  His/her duties will include programming, commissioning and troubleshooting systems for and/or at the customer locations, documenting service executed.  He/she must adequately focus his/her efforts in promoting, assisting, executing and structuring the ISS mandates including the management of the Symmetry CONNECT program or other platforms and PSIM’s.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Test, upgrade and, on occasion, install and/or repair electronic security systems, access control devices, and CCTV systems, to include both equipment and infrastructure;
  • Assists in, and is responsible for, the successful completion of all assigned projects and/or within the scope of their work area;
  • Provide internal expertise and support in order to contribute to the enrichment and added knowledge of the team;
  • Identify training or suggestions required to enhance his knowledge and skill level and remain available to attend symposiums or seminars relating to such knowledge enhancement;
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and available to work outside regular hours as per projects requirements and emergencies;
  • Reads building, electrical, and other blueprints, as required;
  • Follows proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures;
  • Interacts with customers and vendors in a positive, timely, and professional manner;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication, and customer service skills a must;
  • Complies with all local safety and security rules and regulations as required by the client;
  • Suggest means of improving the company’s customer service;

 

Requirements (experience/skills/clearance):

  • Must have 5+ years experience in field of work
  • Knowledge of Communications in GP test equipment, commercial and personal computers and their peripherals as well as MS Office Suite software experience.
  • Security Clearance: Secret
