We are currently looking an IT Security Specialist for one of our opportunities in the National Capital Region.




Requirements (experience/skills/clearance):


  • Must have a three year college diploma or university degree (BSc. or higher) in Computer Science/Engineering or other IT related field OR a minimum of 10 years of experience working IT sector
  • Must have worked on at least 4 IT Security projects within the last 4 years developing documents including, but not limited to IT Security product and/or service descriptions, presentations, strategies and roadmaps
  • Valid IT Security related certifications which could include CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO/IEC, CRISC, ITIL, PMP (or Prince 2), CAP, SSCP and/or SSCP
  • At least 4 months of consecutive work experience within the last 5 years writing and/or reviewing formal Security Assessments (ITSG-33 based) or Certification reports
  • Experience within the last 5 years developing Statements of Sensitivity, Asset Categorization, Threat modeling, Business Needs for Security and/or Statement of Acceptable Risk
  • Experience with Cloud Technology
  • Experience with Federal Government
  • Experience within the last 5 years working with X500 Directory Standards, LDAP, MS, Linux, Uniz or z/os Operating Systems, Networking protocols (HTTP, FTP, Telnet), Internet Security Protocol (SSL, S-HTTP, S-MIME, IPSec, SSH), Wireless Security, TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, SMTP, Intrusion Detection Systems and Firewalls and/or Approved Government of Canada Cryptographic Algorithms


Other Requirements:


  • Must have an active Secret level security clearance issued by the Government of Canada
