Description:

 

The ADGA Group Consultants Inc. is currently seeking a Director to join our successful and growing Space Solutions division in Gatineau.  This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Director to join an established professional services organization leading a team of up to 10 of Space Subject Matter Experts working primarily with the Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Space Agency.  The ADGA Director Space Solutions will also lead a Research and Development team that is currently working on advancing Space Solutions in support of the Emergency Management domain. This individual will have knowledge and demonstrated experience responding to government proposals and professional services related to procurement processes.  The Director oversees the generation of leads, qualifies opportunities, and secures new contracts for ADGA’s Space Solutions division.  The Director will also possess leadership skills that drive growth and success for the Space Solutions division. This individual will communicate the vision and lead the development of business plans for the Space Solutions division.  The Director Space Solutions reports to ADGA’s Senior Director Sales - Defence. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, client centric, people-focused leader, with impeccable follow through.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for the Space Solutions division.
  • Creates accountability framework with KPIs for major activities related to the Space Solutions division.
  • Establishes, develops, strengthens, and maintains relationships with clients at all levels.
  • Carries out sales calls as required in order to grow business.
  • Reviews and evolves ADGA’s go-to-market strategy.
  • Consistently focuses on driving opportunities that build on our existing relationships, and allows ADGA to leverage these relationships, developing them into new partnerships.
  • Develops business and target account plans, monitoring and adjusting regularly.
  • Projects expected sales volume and profits for existing and new professional services to be sold to our client base.
  • Reviews all major RFPs and prepares bid response strategy including: bid/no bid decision and pricing strategy.
  • Establishes and adjusts pricing by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
  • Manages sales funnel through regular meetings with the Senior Director Sales - Defence.
  • Provides weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting on KPIs to the President and other ADGA Executives as required.
  • Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Space Solutions division.

 

Requirements (experience/ skills/ clearance):

 

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience selling Space Solutions related services to the Canadian Federal Government within a professional services firm or large private sector organization.
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering and/or Business Administration; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience with a demonstrated ability to carry out the required duties of the position.
  • Possesses strong business relationships within the Canadian Department of National Defence, the Canadian Space Agency and Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Canada.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in overseeing a team of five (5) or more subordinate personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor subordinate personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or exceed annual sales objectives and profitability targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver business and target account plan.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a professional services organization and externally with other partner firms.
  • Bilingualism (English/French).
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada issued Top Secret security clearance.
